I am a clinical psychologist in private practice with more than 25 years of clinical experience working with men and women on issues of vital importance in their daily lives. In addition to seeing people in long- and short-term therapy since 1991, I served for nine years as a clinical psychologist for Kaiser Permanente, working with hundreds of people from all walks of life. I am deeply committed to helping people create the most fulfilling lives possible, as they move through and beyond challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress management, grief, weight management, relationship issues and low self-esteem.
Sometimes we are thrown off our path from early childhood difficulties, or adult challenges such as divorce, trauma, or difficult work situations. I, as a psychologist, work with you to restore your natural capacity for self esteem and healing, and provide unwavering emotional support as you create an enriching life with healthier relationships. I have deep respect for every person I see in psychotherapy. Your process is unique and deserves my complete presence. I understand that you will grow at your own pace, and I will listen to you with my heart and mind while offering my very best thinking.
My approach to psychotherapy involves exploring how early life experiences can shape you, and looking at what is true for you now to help you to address your concerns and live a more meaningful life. Some examples of people who benefit from my expertise as psychologist are:
